Project description:

This project offered our team a unique opportunity to transform a portion of our client’s childhood home to better meet the needs of their young family. An original, defunct addition fell short of providing the type of space they needed, was positioned such that it bisected the backyard, and was composed of materials that had reached the end of their lifespan. Our team designed an entirely new addition, in a style much more in keeping with the main house, and positioned it to maximize the backyard area. A new, light-filled rear entry hall connects the main house to the new basement entertaining space, two-bedroom suite, and wet bar. A new covered porch and patios blend the existing kitchen and family room with the newly-enlarged backyard.
